The perfect man is Syrus. A more mature gentleman at almost 7 years of age, this handsome hunk arrived at the ARL close to two years ago. A staff and volunteer favorite. Syrus went to two separate homes and was returned due to no fault of his own. This boy loves to go for car rides, loves dining at the restaurants along Penn Ave. in West Reading, walks like a dream on his harness knows basic commands and is hands down the master of snuggling. He seriously is the perfect date. A social butterfly, Syrus is good with other dogs, male dogs seem to dislike him though. They are probably jealous of Syrusâ all around amazingness. I digress. When Syrus isnât out promoting his fellow residents of the ARL he can be found taking a well-deserved nap in the shelter managerâs office. Our big man does have one thing that seems to hold him back from finding the right home. He has allergies. BUT the good news is heâs on allergy drops, grain free food and doing great! The ARL will cover the cost of Syrusâ allergy drops for as long as Syrus needs them, which most likely will be the rest of his life. If you are looking for a best friend, a great kisser, a soul mate, a walking companion, the love of your life, the dog that will raise the bar for the others that followâĻSyrus. He is available for adoption from the Animal Rescue League of Berks County!
