We previously told you about Johnny Bobbitt Jr., a homeless man who used his last $20 to help Kate McClure get going again when she ran out of gas in a sketchy neighborhood in Philadelphia. She was so thankful for his help, she set up a GoFundMe page to help him get back on his feet.
In just a few short days, that GoFundMe fundraising campaign raised almost $400,000 for Bobbitt. And now heâs shared with his supporters that heâs purchased a new home with some of that money.
Johnny also says heâs going to donate some of his money to an elementary school student whoâs working to help another homeless veteran, just like Kate helped him. And heâs encouraging others to do the same by checking out this other vetâs GoFundMe campaign. Now thatâs paying it forward!
