3 Things You Need To Know - Tuesday July 18th

Number 1... Millions in the U.S. are dealing with extreme heat and smoke pollution from Canada. The National Weather Service says triple-digit temperatures could last through the middle of the week from Texas to the lower Mississippi Valley as a high pressure dome moves westward. Meanwhile, smoke from Canadian wildfires is once again hitting the U.S.

Number 2...A train derailment in Pennsylvania did not leak any hazardous materials. The derailment happened Monday morning just outside of Philadelphia. Some residents in the area were evacuated for a couple of hours, but that order has been lifted. NTSB officials are now working to determine what caused the accident.

Number 3... Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is making his intentions on winning an NBA title clear. The league MVP spoke at the Uninterrupted Sports Film Festival and reiterated, "I just want to win a championship. Whatever it takes." Embiid went on to say, "I don't know where that's gonna be, whether it's in Philly or anywhere else, I just want to have a chance to accomplish that."
